Gotukola Sambola ගොටුකොල සම්බොල

Centella Asiatica is a plant that is used as an Ayurvedic medicine in Sri Lanka. It is also used to make a salad that is very popular in common Sri Lankan households.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of Gotukola (Centella Asiatica)
  • ½  a medium size onion
  • Half a cup of grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp of Maldives fish (Optional
  • Lime to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Finely chop the Gotukola
  • Finely chop the onion

Method

Add all the ingredients to a deep bowl and mix it well using your fingers. Finally, adjust salt and lime for your taste. Isn’t this the simplest recipe of all?

Use it as a side dish to rice.
